For me, winter means a warm cup of tea and quiet time to read – both can lead to better sleep which is key to mental well-being. We’re excited that you can strengthen your body and enjoy the view in one of our most beautiful parks for free. In addition to the ever-growing list of drop-in classes at our recreation centers, we’re promoting physical health with a new Fitness Court at North Boulder Park. The World Health Organization defines health as “a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being.” Here is what we’re doing to combat those “blahs” this winter and support your complete health. No matter what the weather brings, it’s still our mission and my passion to promote the health and well-being of the entire Boulder community. Joy can be harder to find on shorter, colder days.
